PLACE PIXELS
  • no cooldown
  • free to paint
  • no account to start

Coming from wplace? No cooldown here.

Same idea: a pixel canvas over the real world, in ten-meter squares. The difference is that here you hold a wallet and spend from it, so a piece that took a week of30-second waits goes down in one save. Try a block, then find your street.

  • 5,000 pixels in one save, not one at a time
  • No account for your first 50 pixels
  • Painting over fresh work costs more than painting

What changes when you paint here

No cooldown

There is no wait between pixels. You hold a wallet and spend from it, so a whole building goes down at once instead of over a week.

Bring the piece you already made

Upload a screenshot of your wplace art in the template studio, position it over your street as a reference layer, and paint against it. Up to 5,000 pixels go down in one save.

What painting over someone costs

On wplace painting over a finished piece costs the same as painting on empty ground. Here fresh work by somebody else is expensive to erase and gets cheaper as it ages, and your own work is always cheap.

What is already therePixels
Empty ground1
Your own pixel, at any age1
Someone else's, under 1 hour old3
Someone else's, under a day old2
Someone else's, older than a day1
A landmark5
New accounts

A new account can overwrite at most 100 of other players' pixels a day until it is 48 hours old and has placed 500. Empty ground and your own work never count toward it.

Contested ground still gets fought over, because an alliance attacking at density spends from many wallets. A stranger wrecking one person's fresh work pays for it.

Something to come back for

Events with end times: a yearly canvas in the r/place format, a weekly themed canvas, a spotlight city and a daily prompt. City standings and seasons give a finished map a reason to come back. A square untouched for 365 days starts to desaturate, reaching 20 percent of the way to gray after 3 years. It is visual only, landmarks never weather, and refreshing a whole piece is free.

Start on your own street

  1. Find your street

Search a place or share your location, then zoom in to 15. The grid appears over the buildings, each square 10 meters across.

  2. Pick a color and paint

No cooldown between pixels. Stage as many as you like and commit them in one save, so a whole building goes down at once instead of over a week.

  3. Sign in only when you want to keep it

Your first 50 pixels go down before any of that, and they survive making an account. Google or Discord, no password.

Common questions

Can I bring my wplace art here?

Yes, by repainting it, and it is one save rather than a week. Upload a screenshot of it in the template studio, position it over your street as a reference layer, and paint against it: up to 5,000 pixels in a single save, with no cooldown between them.

Is Place Pixels a wplace clone?

Both put a pixel canvas on a world map. What differs is the economy: no cooldown here, a wallet you spend from, a price for painting over fresh work, and events with end dates that give a finished street a reason to come back.

Do I need an account?

Not to start. Your first 50 pixels go down before you sign in, and they are still there afterward. Sign-in is Google or Discord, no password.

Is it free?

Yes. Painting costs nothing. Money buys faster wallet refills and cosmetics, and nothing you can buy reaches the standings.

Work people finished on the map and submitted to the gallery, frozen as it was at the moment they sent it.
