PLACE PIXELS
  • multiple accounts
  • moderation and reports
  • does it reset

wplace rules: multiple accounts, bots, griefing and resets.

One account per person, no bots, nothing explicit or hateful: those carry a permanent ban. Griefing gets a timeout, and where the line sits is a moderator's call. Here it is a price, so there is nothing to argue about and nobody to appeal to.

  • Four content rules here, and a moderator reviews every report
  • Griefing is priced, not judged
  • No account for your first 50 pixels

Content

  • No explicit sexual content, and no sexualization of minors or child-like characters.
  • No extreme gore or realistic violence.
  • No clear hate speech, slurs or hate symbols.
  • No doxxing, and no targeted harassment.
These are the permanent ones

They carry a permanent ban and the artwork is removed. Suggestive drawings that stop short of explicit are not grounds for a suspension, but anyone may paint over them.

Can you have multiple wplace accounts?

No. The rule is one account per person, and multi-accounting carries a permanent ban, the same as bots, scripts, browser automation and exploits. Their guidelines add that painting through virtual machines, residential proxies or multi-accounting browsers may lead to a permanent ban as well.

A shared device counts

wplace warns that sharing a device with family or other people can get accounts flagged as multi-accounting and suspended. If that is how you were caught, say so in the appeal.

Their terms also forbid a new account made to get around a penalty, and let wplace ask for phone verification to catch multi-accounting and ban evasion.

How wplace moderation works

Deliberately hands-off. Moderators step in when a rule is clearly broken, and in ambiguous cases the community is free to overwrite whatever it disagrees with. That keeps moderators out of art disputes, and it means a contested piece is settled by whoever has more paint.

  • Content rules: a permanent ban, and the artwork comes off the map.
  • Multiple accounts and bots: a permanent ban.
  • Clear griefing: a timeout.
  • Repeat violations: longer suspensions, then a permanent ban, as the game itself warns.
  • Names and alliance names wplace finds offensive can be removed or changed.

wplace does not publish how long a timeout lasts. Every punishment can be appealed once, from the game; the appeal page has what to send.

Griefing

Painting over other people's work is allowed. Painting over it only to harass or frustrate them, with no creative, strategic or corrective purpose, is not. Scribbling over a piece or dropping random pixels on it is clear griefing and gets a timeout. Territorial expansion, cleanup and style changes are a gray area: not griefing by default, but a moderator may step in if it turns excessive or targeted.

Two things are named as allowed: competing for territory, which their guidelines call core gameplay, and erasing spam or suggestive content with transparent pixels.

How to report on wplace

Reports are filed inside the game. You can report a player, a name, a profile picture or an alliance, and you pick the reason from a list. The game sets limits on it:

  • An account that is too new cannot report, and nobody can report while banned.
  • There is a cap on reports per hour.
  • Content that was just reviewed can be reported again 24 hours after that review.
  • You are told when your report has been reviewed, and whether a penalty was applied.

For an urgent safety report that the in-game limits block, their terms list [email protected]. wplace does not publish how quickly reports are handled.

Does wplace reset?

wplace publishes no reset and no season end. Finished work stays until somebody paints over it, so a piece lasts as long as the people around it let it. Their terms do let them change or discontinue the service at any time, and say they keep routine backups.

Your wplace account

  • You need an account to paint, and wplace may ask you to verify a phone number.
  • Your display name can be changed once every 60 days.
  • A suspension or ban also takes away anything you bought, with no refund unless the law requires one.
  • The game warns that deleting your account removes it and its data for good.

Two questions the rules do not answer

How do you unlock colors on wplace?

The base palette is free, and further colors are bought with droplets, the currency the game pays out for playing. The world map here takes any color at no cost; a fixed palette exists only on the event canvases, where an earned color means something.

How do you get more pixels on wplace?

The pool refills one pixel every 30 seconds, and the cap rises by leveling or by spending droplets on upgrades. The wallet here refills one every 20 seconds, capacity rises with levels, and a single save can place 5,000 pixels, so the ceiling you feel is the wallet rather than a per-pixel wait.

How the same problems are handled here

The content rules are the same, and reports go to a console where a person reviews them and the pixels come off the map. The griefing rule is where the two sites stop agreeing, and it is the rule you are most likely to be on the wrong end of.

Who decides what counts as griefing?

Place Pixels

Nobody. It is priced instead of judged, so there is no line to argue about and no moderator to appeal to.

wplace

A moderator, weighing what you painted against their test of creative intent. Clear griefing gets a timeout.

What is already therePixels
Empty ground1
Your own pixel, at any age1
Someone else's, under 1 hour old3
Someone else's, under a day old2
Someone else's, older than a day1
A landmark5

A drive-by on somebody's fresh work costs three times what building your own does, so nobody has to decide whether you meant it. A new account can overwrite at most 100 of other players' pixels a day until it is 48 hours old and has placed 500. Empty ground and your own work never count toward it.

What this does not stop

An alliance taking contested ground. Spread across many wallets the cost is small, and that is deliberate: the price is there to make a lone stranger expensive, not to make a border war impossible.

the whole rulebook

Four things get you banned. The rest is priced.

Sexual content, content sexualizing minors, hate speech and doxxing come off the map. Everything else is a price, so there is nothing to get wrong by accident. Your first 50 pixels go down before you make an account.

Common questions

What are the wplace rules?

No explicit, hateful or illegal content, no griefing with no creative intent, one account per person, and no bots, automation or exploits. Content and account rules carry a permanent ban; clear griefing gets a timeout.

Can I have multiple wplace accounts?

No. One account per person, and multi-accounting carries a permanent ban. wplace warns that sharing a device with family can get accounts flagged as multi-accounting too.

How does wplace moderation work?

Hands-off by design. Moderators step in when a rule is clearly broken, and in ambiguous cases the community is free to paint over what it disagrees with. Territorial fights and cleanup with transparent pixels are allowed.

How do I report someone on wplace?

Inside the game: you can report a player, a name, a profile picture or an alliance, with a reason picked from a list. A brand-new account cannot report, there is an hourly limit, and you are told when your report has been reviewed.

Is using a template against the wplace rules?

Templates are not automation. What is banned is bots, scripts and browser automation that place pixels for you, and that carries a permanent ban.

Does wplace reset?

wplace publishes no reset and no season end. Finished work stays until someone paints over it. Like most sites, its terms let it change the service at any time.

Do I need an account to paint on wplace?

Yes. Their terms require one to paint, and wplace may ask you to verify a phone number. Your display name can be changed once every 60 days.

How do you unlock colors on wplace?

The base palette is free and further colors are bought with droplets, the currency earned by playing. On Place Pixels the world map takes any color at no cost; only the event canvases use a fixed palette.

How do you get more pixels on wplace?

The pool refills one pixel every 30 seconds, and its cap rises by leveling or by spending droplets. Here the wallet refills one every 20 seconds, capacity rises with levels, and one save can place 5,000 at once.

What are the rules on Place Pixels?

Sexual content, content sexualizing minors, hate speech and doxxing come off the map. Griefing is handled by pricing rather than by moderators: painting over fresh work costs three times as much.
