wplace ban appeal: what to send, and how long bans last.
Appeal from the button on the punishment in the game. You get one appeal per punishment, so say everything in it. Content, multiple accounts and bots carry a permanent ban; clear griefing gets a timeout. A wplace ban does not follow you here, so paint somewhere else while you wait.

How to appeal a wplace ban
- Use the appeal button on the punishment
wplace shows a ban or timeout in the game, with an appeal button beside it. Their own instruction is that if you believe a punishment was a mistake, that button is the way to say so.
- Say why it should be lifted, in one message
The form asks one thing: why your suspension should be reconsidered. You can appeal each punishment once, so put it all in the first message. Answer the reason the notice gives. For a multiple-accounts ban, say whether anyone else plays from your device, which wplace's guidelines name as something that can get accounts flagged.
- Wait for the result
Their team reviews it and you are notified either way: approved, and the sanction is reversed, or upheld. An appeal does not guarantee anything, and there is nothing else you can do to move it along.
If the appeal is denied, the game offers to send it on for review, and wplace support receives your appeal and the punishment details with it. For anything their support limits block, such as an urgent safety report or a purchase complaint, their terms list [email protected].
Their terms forbid a new account made to get around a penalty, and wplace may ask for phone verification to catch exactly that. A second account turns a disputed ban into a clear one.
How long wplace bans last
It depends on the rule. These are the penalties wplace's community guidelines put on each one, and in-game, repeated violations lead to longer suspensions or a permanent ban.
- explicit, hateful or illegal content
- permanentSexual content, sexualizing minors, extreme gore, hate speech or symbols, doxxing, and targeted harassment. The artwork comes off too.
- multiple accounts, bots, exploits
- permanentOne account per person, and no automation. Virtual machines, residential proxies and multi-accounting browsers may also lead to a permanent ban.
- clear griefing
- timeoutScribbling over someone's work with no creative intent. wplace does not publish how long a timeout lasts.
- suggestive content
- no banNothing explicit, so no suspension, but anyone may paint over it.
A suspension or ban also takes away anything you bought, and their terms rule out a refund except where the law requires one.
Their moderation is deliberately hands-off: it steps in when a rule is clearly broken, and where a case is ambiguous the community is left to paint over whatever it disagrees with. Competing for territory is allowed, and so is erasing spam with transparent pixels.
If the ban stands
Place Pixels is a different site with a different account, and nothing about a wplace ban follows you here. It is the same idea, a shared map of the real world painted in 10-meter squares, and the rules are the short list in the questions below.
Griefing is handled by a price rather than a moderator, so there is nothing to appeal and nothing to get wrong by accident.
| What is already there | Pixels |
|---|---|
| Empty ground | 1 |
| Your own pixel, at any age | 1 |
| Someone else's, under 1 hour old | 3 |
| Someone else's, under a day old | 2 |
| Someone else's, older than a day | 1 |
| A landmark | 5 |
A new account can overwrite at most 100 of other players' pixels a day until it is 48 hours old and has placed 500. Empty ground and your own work never count toward it.
It is invisible unless you are painting over strangers all day.
Common questions
How do I appeal a wplace ban?
Use the appeal button wplace shows with the punishment in the game. You get one appeal per punishment, their team reviews it, and you are told the result. An appeal does not guarantee the ban is lifted.
What should I write in a wplace ban appeal?
Why the suspension should be lifted, all in one message, since each punishment gets one appeal and after that only a review of the decision. For a multiple-accounts ban, say whether anyone else plays from your device: wplace warns that a shared device can get accounts flagged.
How long do wplace bans last?
Explicit, hateful or illegal content, multiple accounts and bots carry a permanent ban. Clear griefing gets a timeout, and repeat violations lead to longer suspensions or a permanent ban. wplace does not publish how long a timeout lasts.
What if my wplace appeal is denied?
The game lets you ask for a review of the denial, which sends your appeal and the punishment to wplace support. The terms leave the final decision to wplace.
Why was I banned for using multiple accounts?
wplace allows one account per person. Its guidelines warn that virtual machines, residential proxies, multi-accounting browsers and a device shared with family can all get accounts flagged, and a new account made to get around a ban breaks the terms by itself.
Does a wplace ban affect Place Pixels?
No. Separate sites, separate accounts, no shared moderation. Nothing carries over in either direction.
What gets you banned on Place Pixels?
Sexual content, content sexualizing minors, hate speech, and doxxing. Reports go to a moderation console where a person reviews them, and the pixels come off the map.
